This year’s UAE Tour has several exciting features:
- Two mountaintop finishes: The iconic Jebel Hafeet climb returns as the exciting final stage final stage. Riders will also face a tough stage 3 climb from Al Marjan Island to Jebel Jais.
- After a gruelling 143km race in stage 1, the teams will be put to the test in the stage 2 time trial which is 12.1km, offering pure specialists a chance to shine.
- Stronger competition: With 20 teams on the start list, the competition is set to be fierce. Expect to see some of the biggest names in cycling battling it out for the win.
Stages to Watch:
- Stage 1: The opening stage takes riders through the stunning desert landscape, with a challenging uphill finish that could provide an early shake-up.
- Stage 2: The individual time trial will be crucial for the overall classification, with certain specialists looking to gain an advantage here.
- Stage 4: The Dubai stage is the 173km long stage where the cyclist’s endurance will be tested and where some teams can showcase their talents, this is a must-watch for the amazing scenery throughout the city of Dubai.
- Stage 6: The Abu Dhabi stage is 138km long and features some amazing scenery as well, the riders will again have their endurance tested and some teams may start to surprise us on this penultimate stage.
- Stage 7: The final stage on Jebel Hafeet is a true test of climbing ability, and could decide the winner of the UAE Tour.
