Cheating in New Zealand casinos’ games has an incredibly negative connotation, whether it’s for hobbyists or professional players. Or so we thought. But after speaking to 1,000 New Zealand online gaming enthusiasts, at SkyDeposit.co.nz we now have an in-depth understanding of what gamers consider cheating in gaming and how this practice is perceived by gamers themselves.
In this study, we have discovered which are the most common methods for cheating while playing online, which games cheat the most and which consoles with which game cheat websites are most widespread and used. And the results are quite surprising.

Cheating at the Best New Zealand Casinos Is Possible
We first asked players whether or not they thought it was acceptable to cheat at the top New Zealand casinos. Surprisingly most of them don’t seem to have a negative view of cheating, quite the contrary. In fact, 70.3% admitted that they considered it acceptable to cheat while playing online. In particular, 93.3% of them find it particularly acceptable to cheat when playing alone in single-player mode.
But what exactly is meant when we talk about cheating? Taking advantage of the flaws in the game and looking for answers to possible obstacles online are considered cheating by the majority of respondents.
How to Cheat in the Best New Zealand Casinos?
More specifically, we wanted respondents to tell us exactly how they cheat in online games, and why they do it. In this section of our study, we reveal the most common techniques for online cheating and why they are so prevalent.
The most common way used by players to cheat online is the use of Aimbots and trigger bots, which are used by 43.3% of players. They are mostly used in first-person shooter games as they help aim and fire faster. In second place among the most common cheating techniques is Auto-leveling, which is used by 32% of players as it allows you to level up more quickly.
In third place among the most popular online cheating methods is Boosting/win trading, which is used by 26.4% of players. This technique occurs when two players agree to lose in rank or pro-rank matches for one to win, or to allow the other’s characters to strengthen and level up. Another cheating method popular among 24.8% of online players is the Artificial lag / lag switch, which allows you to disappear when you are about to be killed in the online game, to then reappear behind your opponent and survive as you progress in the game, or hide from other players without becoming a target.
Botting is used by 24% of players who cheat. This technique consists of the use of specific software that is specially programmed to help pass certain levels, or to take the player’s place by playing in his place. Ghosting, practised by 20.3% of players who cheat online, consists instead of having privileged information on the position or dynamics of another player’s game and using the tricks acquired against the same player during a game. AI computer vision, used by 15.3% of players, helps pinpoint the location of other players making them easy targets. Griefing, used by 11.8%,
Who Cheats the Most, and Why?
To find out more about the profile of those who cheat online, we divided the respondents by reference generations. It emerged that those who cheat more frequently are those belonging to Generation X (79.3%), ie those between 43 and 58 years of age. They are followed, with a percentage of 72.7%, by the Baby Boomers (59-68 years) who conquer the second place in the ranking of those who cheat most frequently playing online. In third place appear the Millennials (27-42 years) with a percentage of cheaters equal to 72.1% and, finally, the young people belonging to Generation Z (18-26). Among them, 67% say they are in favour of cheating online.
If you are wondering what are the reasons that push players to cheat in online games, here they are revealed. For 42.9% of players, cheating is necessary due to the inability to pay resources to unlock levels. 25.5% think cheating makes it easier to beat an opponent. According to 25.2% of players, cheating helps overcome frustrations while playing. On the other hand, 20% of players tend to cheat to keep up when other players cheat. According to 17.6% of the players, cheating increases the fun, while for 4.5% it is cheating as streamers also use cheats.
Games & Consoles: Where People Cheat the Most
We asked respondents which consoles lead to cheating the most and the PC comes first. 86.6% of online PC gamers admitted to cheating at least once. Followed by players on Playstation (7.4%), Nintendo (4.6%) and Xbox (1.3%).

Methodology
In April 2023 SkyDeposit.co.nz interviewed 1,000 who are passionate about online games. Through a survey, we asked them some specific questions about the practice of online cheating. Among the respondents, 51.5% were male, 45.9% female and 2.6% declared themselves non-binary. The average age of the interviewees is 30 years old.
